My Battle With My Gut and How Symprove Came to the Rescue!

For those of you who have experienced Irritable Bowel Syndrome, I feel you! This digestive disorder has exhausting effects on both confidence and quality of life.

Over the past few years, I have been seeking out ways to improve my own digestive distress and heal my gut from the inside. Recently, I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of Symprove. A probiotic supplement proven to deliver good bacteria safely to the lower gut. Now I have completed my initial trial, I wanted to share my honest experience of the product.

Please note: Some of this information might be TMI. We are all human after all, and embarrassing or not, our toilet habits are a thing. Certainly not something we should ignore.

Let the Battle Commence!

A little background about yours truly.

I'm the person who as my head hits the pillow at night, my gut makes a concert hall with my "digestive symphony."

For many years, gas and bloating have been my unwelcome buddies, always showing up at the worst moments. For years, I could rely on my gut to ruin every weekend away, Christmas dinner, and meal out. I avoided certain foods out of fear of the gassy reaction that would have me in pain and constipated for days.

I tried everything, from prescription medication to off-the-shelf remedies. Charcoal tablets, peppermint capsules, digestive enzymes, and many other de-bloat concoctions.

Nothing seemed to work.

I had made a dent in improving my gut health through diet and lifestyle changes, then after a nasty tummy bug last December, things took a turn. (I mean, as if losing my soul and dignity down the toilet bowl wasn't already enough?)

I had noticed a change in my bowel habits that wasn’t improving through diet and lifestyle alone. My IBS symptoms had come back with a vengeance. It was my dietician who suggested I give probiotics a go.

After a little research, Symprove was a product that I wanted to try. So when the opportunity came along to test it out, I jumped at the chance.

All I had to do was take a 70ml shot of the solution each morning before eating or drinking.

My Honest Experience

Let's be real – I have often questioned the efficacy of food supplements after numerous failed attempts with other products. Not to mention the money I have wasted along the way.

So when I experienced some initial gas and boating in the first few weeks, I was worried that this was another fad. I checked out the FAQ's which explained these side effects were completely normal so I persevered, and boy I am glad I did.

Here are some of the positive changes I have experienced over the past 12 weeks.

  • I'm Regular! - Gone are the days of urgent bathroom visits and a week's worth of backed-up food waste. Symprove turned my bathroom breaks into a well-timed, predictable morning ritual.

  • Reduced symptoms - Symprove must've sent my food intolerances a cease and desist letter because they’ve finally stopped showing up unannounced. I have been able to re-introduce more of the foods I love, without the dreaded aftermath.

  • And the bloating? - Well here is the honest truth…unfortunately my bloating hasn’t completely disappeared. However, I have noticed an improvement in my digestive discomfort. I no longer wake up with trapped gas, have regular bowel movements, and no longer appear to be lactose intolerant.

All in all, having fewer symptoms I have been very impressed with this product. I will definitely be keeping this a part of my daily routine.

Why do we need probiotics?

Imagine your gut is a garden.

Your gut should contain an abundant variety of organisms - just like a garden needs to thrive.

These organisms process and digest our foods, protect our gut lining, and support our immune system. Both good and bad bacteria have essential roles in our gut health.

Medication such as antibiotics can strip our gut of beneficial bacteria we need for a healthy happy gut. A nasty stomach bug can also interfere with the digestive tract causing imbalances in our gut microbiome.

Imbalances can lead to over-colonisation of bad bacteria and symptoms of compromised gut health. Without restoring our microbial diversity we can experience digestive system symptoms for months, if not years.

Probiotics and supplements like Symprove, help us to to maintain healthy and happy intestines.

What else can we do to help our gut?

There are many ways we can improve our gut microbiome these include...

Eating Fiber-Rich Foods

Foods high in fiber such as fruits and vegetables promote a thriving gut environment by supporting beneficial gut bacteria.

Limiting Excess Sugar

Harmful bacteria thrive off carbohydrates and sugar. Reducing excess sugar intake can give our good bacteria an opportunity to thrive and rebalance the gut.

Managing Stress

Chronic stress can negatively affect gut health. Stress-reduction techniques like breath work, meditation, or vagus nerve exercises will keep your gut and mood in balance.

Probiotic foods

Including fermented foods like kefir or kombucha in your diet supports a healthy gut environment.

In addition, considering a probiotic food supplement like Symprove can give your gut an additional boost.

The Bottom Line

There are many ways you can support your gut with diet and lifestyle. It's important to remember, that what works for one might not necessarily work for another, we are all different.

I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised with the outcome and I am pleased to know there is a product out there for me. With all the money I have spent over the years, trying a tried and tested supplement was a good choice.

So, there you have it, my gut-taming journey with Symprove! I can finally say goodbye to IBS-induced awkwardness and hello to digestive harmony. Give Symprove a try, your gut will thank you for it!
